Tartaric Acid
Tartaric is an alpha-hydroxy-carboxylic acid, is diprotic and aldaric in acid characteristics, and is a dihydroxyl derivative of succinic acid.
Derived from grapes and also occurs naturally in many other fruits like bananas, tamarinds, and citrus. Tartaric acid is good for exfoliating skin and stimulating collagen production. It will help with lines and wrinkles, and also stimulates collagen production to make the skin look firmer. Tartaric acid, itself, is considered to be low-risk and safe for use, showing less chance of side effects and irritation than other AHAs.
